Maeva – RED
Series with Maeva, born from an exploration of red as a graphic medium.
The initial idea was simple: push a single color until it restructures everything. The red does not merely tint the image; it cuts through it, fragments the face, and invades the frame. It acts as much as a geometric shape as it does a light source.
What makes these portraits unique is that everything was produced during the shoot, without heavy digital effects. The red hue, the motion blur, and the contrast effects are the result of light, the body, and the sensor working together. This intentional constraint gives the images a materiality that cannot be manufactured in post-production.
