Dancer & Choreographer Portrait
Marion Halil – Suspended Movement
Series with Marion Halil, contemporary dancer and choreographer.
What interested me here was the suspended moment, the one where energy is still in motion, yet the body seems to defy balance. In the studio: a neutral background, light that structures the lines and isolates points of support. Nothing distracts the eye. Each pose becomes a statement.
These images were conceived to support her communication as a choreographer, not to document a performance, but to convey an artistic direction.
An artist portrait does not capture a performance. It reveals an intention.
